The MSGM Position Statement was launched on Thursday, 17 August 2017, at the opening of the National Geriatric Conference, held on 17-18 August 2017, at the Auditorium Menara Selatan, University of Malaya Medical Centre.

This was a culmination of one year's work through multiple virtual meetings held with our young geriatricians who were at various parts of the country and the world at different time points, including Ireland and Perth.
