Position Statement
The Malaysian Society of Geriatric Medicine has published three position statements to date. These position statements are intended to inform healthcare professionals about the society's stand on topical issues pertinent to the health of older Malaysians. We hope that all stakeholders and any other interested parties are able to make use of our position statements to lobby for local resources and to inform clinical practice wherever they work.

The herpes zoster vaccine, Zostavax, was launched by Merck, Sharpe and Dohme in Malaysia in November 2013. The MSGM aims to provide accurate information on new health technology for older people by producing position statements that summarizes the available literature and interpretating them based on the local context.
Elder Abuse and Neglect affects the wellbeing of our older population, and is really not what they deserve given that they helped build this beautiful nation.
