Geriatric Emergency Medicine

The Malaysian Society of Geriatric Medicine signed a memorandum of understanding with the College of Emergency Medicine on 24 November 2017 to establish the specialist interest group Geriatric Emergency Medicine.

A workshop shop and seminar on Geriatric Emergency Medicine was held jointly to mark this auspicious occasion. This will begin by training two young Emergency Physicians, one from the Ministry of Health and one from the Ministry of Education, to become Geriatric Emergency Physicians. We wish Dr Mohd Amin Mohd Mokhtar (UiTM) and Dr Chung Wai Mun (Taiping) all the best in their quest to subspecialise.
